Original & Star Novels !

Here we are with some info on two more superb digest companies, Original & Star Novels. These were both published in New York by the same company, starting as 'Original' publication running from # 700 - 749 and when the company changed name to Star it became 'Publication' company and they continued from number 750 and ended at 767 .

Original novels ran from numbers 700 through to 749 and within this short run you will find some absolute cracking titles and artwork, they are, for some strange reason pretty rare and some titles do hit big prices !

You will also see the the usual suspects in writers and also artists within this series, Peggy Gaddis, Albert L. Quandt, Norman Bligh, Harry Whittington and many more......right let's go and here is a list of titles and authors.

Quandt , the first is a highly prized drug book and the second hits the tough story of abortion in the 1950's ......both books I need and maybe one day they will turn up for me and a knock down price !!!!

Original Novels (Australia) 

The Australian version of the Original publication was in a more paperback form but kept the look on both front and back covers as shown below by the only Aussie copy I have .

Right that was 'Original Novels' . We continue now with 'Star Books/Novels' numbers #750 through to # 767 . Again a even shorter run under the Star banner and were produced from 1955 up to 1957. These were predominantly re-issues of the earlier 'Original Novels' with just a hand full being new and unreleased, Here are the six copies I own below with list of titles .
